1. Having passed the rainy season in Malawi, it’s now time to make and bake bricks! To make alot quickly, we work in big number and unity like ants. Even kids know that there’s no food for lazy man :). G

  2. We have this proverb in Malawi; A chief is like a swamp where fire ceases to burn.

I like to make friends with Chiefs when I visit villages. In doing so, I learn more from their wisdom and also enjoy their company when i’m far away from Parents :). G

  3. I’m grateful to stand on the shoulder of giants

Time and again my life goes like the flight of a butterfly; up and down up and down. Thanks to all of you out there Your presence into my life raises me up when i’m down. Much and respect to you :) G

  4. Ben enjoyed flying the Malawian skies

Someone told me that every flying place in the world has a magic of it’s own. Ben really liked to watch the Malawian sunset from the air. G

  5. Today, I was part of one of the most inspirational outreach programmes so far. Just before I set off on my way to visit a local school, it occurred to me that I could bring my calendar to show the kids.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a teacher and shown the classroom where I set up my workshop. I then produced the calendar. Immediately all the children were interested and, after I explained how to read it, we began locating birthdays.

We happily located the date for those who knew their birthdays and those who didn’t know were left with an assignment to ask their parents or guardians.

We all have birthdays in the world but in Malawi most people don’t know the day they were born, let alone spend time celebrating it. I think it’s just nice to know your birthday and be able to count your years.

After the class settled down I gave a little Dream talk before showing them my gift from Pembrokeshire Paragliding. Helped by my two (very well briefed) friends, I launched into the air with The Sky Banana.  Soaring above the children I could see they understood that anything is possible and that if I am living my dream, they can too.

Later, with even more excited children, we located June 28th which is a day I will never forget; the day I learned to fly.

With the children eating banana fruits, I packed The Sky Banana and got ready to head home.:). G

  6. The Sky Banana enjoys Malawi, it’s new home soo much. Today, we shared the happiness by eating sweet Bananas. I could hear the Sky Banana say Malawi’s Banana are the sweetest in the world! We love you Sky Banana for sharing the friendly sky with us :). G

  7. Edward offered to carry alot in his back pack on our first hike of Mulanje. All he asked was to use my Bandana because it made him feel strong like Rambo. G

  8. The Chief’s best friend whose warning i cherish.

He droped out of school when he lost his toe from a snake bite in Mulanje. He said to me that i can tell of th snake’s presence by the smell of boiled potatoes. My sense of smell has improved since. G

  9. A Pupil paying attention to detail to his Kite

In our Kite-building workshop, the learners understand that inorder for a kite to fly well, it has to be well balanced and that is an art :). G

  10. My friend Edward hiking Mulanje Mountain for the first time.

It took us almost the whole day to get to the top. This man made it down alone safely at night in 2 hours! He said the Joy to see me fly was his strength :). I love Edward. G
